This is blog is part of a class project. We are challenging ourselves to apply what we've learned in COMM 30 Media & Society at Lehigh University. Can we raise $5000 for Hurricane Sandy victims in less than 30 days using the social media tools we've learned about?
Over the next 25 days or so students will be reflecting on how they've been touched by the destruction done to the Atlantic coast, either directly or through people they know. We are sharing our stories, and we hope you will support our effort by giving to our cause.
We are using IndieGogo, the fabulous online giving site, to accept donations via PayPal. All the proceeds - yes, 100%! - go directly to the Red Cross. We will never receive any of the money. IndieGoGo has partnered directly with the Red Cross for direct fund transfers.
#COMM30Sandy is an online class project for the Media & Society class at Lehigh University, taught by professor Jeremy Littau. You can donate to our campaign at this link, and for more infomation you can email Prof. Littau at jeremy.littau(at)lehigh.edu.
